This is definitely the best coffee in Abergavenny. Odette's personality shines through creating an atmosphere that is so friendly you feel at home. A wealth of local information is passed around between customers so that a simple coffee becomes an experience not to be missed. Do try it.

Coffee shop or cake shop? This place is both and the quality of its products is outstanding. Itʼs easy to walk past this little cafe and not notice it but if you do make the effort to find it you will be rewarded.
The cakes are made at their own little factory and are amongst the best you will ever taste. If you like carrot cake, try it here - you will never buy it from a supermarket ever again.
The Faitrade coffee tastes great especially when its served by the very friendly manageress.

Iʼd walked past this little shop so many times and meant to go in - since I finally managed it Iʼve been back again again again and again! The toasted sandwiches and hot chocolate are just what you need on a wintry lunchtime and I was treated as a special customer from the minute I walked in. The service is excellent and just so friendly. I wish lunchtimes were longer.

Warm, welcoming, exceptionally friendly.Odette greets every customer as if they were old friends. The coffee is the best in Abergavenny,the cakes are divine and the panninis freshly made with adventurous fillings.Odette makes the coffee and Panninis to your taste, all fresh! Itʼs a treasure of a coffee shop.

Cakes are lovely. Place a bit small and cramped. Liked the fact that the outdoor tables were also ʼnon-smokingʼ. Coffee lets them down though.

The lovely warm Welsh welcome and superb quality of food and drink has kept us coming back to For The Love of Cake time and time again.Coffee made how you like it and a varied menu featuring local produce,you can even buy homemade bread here!It tastes wonderful!All the cakes are baked from secret recipes and if I could bake like that Iʼd keep it a secret too!

Forget self-restraint – these are irresistible cakes. Don’t even enter the doorway unless you’re prepared to indulge yourself – the effort of will required to resist Lemon Drizzle cake and Cappuccino Slices can surely be put to better use elsewhere. The lovely personalised service is an additional bonus, and the Brie and Grape paninis are superb too.
