Their philosophy is simple - to revive our happiest childhood memories and to help children to develop a life long love of reading and imaginative play. Book-ish have made a point of stocking well loved traditional toys, games, puppets and puzzles, as well as books with familiar covers that will invoke many a fond memory.
In addition to traditional children's toys and games, there is also a fine range of gift items, jewellery, artwork and soft toys, all ideal as presents for that special someone - or for yourself! Browsing is welcomed and if what you want is not on the shelves, they can order in any book that's currently in print.
As well as a great range of traditional playthings, Book-ish stocks a wide selection of books for adults and children, including a Welsh language range, as well as novelty items and original artwork, and even cards and wrapping paper, so it's a one stop gift shop of the highest standard.
With its close proximity to the fabulous Abergavenny countryside and the Brecon Beacons, their excellent range of toys, gifts, books and collectables wouldn't be complete without maps, local guides and history books.
