Don't forget, kids - it's time for the Easter bonnet competition and parade on Easter Saturday.

The parade starts at 11.00am in Cibi Walk shopping precinct, but there's free face painting on offer at the Miserable Cow Coffee Bar from 9.30 am.

The event is open to everyone in any age group - to take part just register at the Miserable Cow Coffee Bar in Cibi Walk. There is an entry fee of £1 and all funds raised will go to Nevill Hall children's ward.

There are four categories for prizes:

• Best Children's hat/bonnet

• Best children's fancy dress

• Best adult's hat/bonnet

• Best adult's fancy dress.

Anyone under the age of fourteen must be accompanied by an adult.

The Mayor of Abergavenny will join the giant pink Easter Bunny to lead the parade through the town and then through the indoor market where the market traders can cast their votes on the best bonnets.  The prize giving will take place in the Brewery Yard piazza.
