Christmas is coming and at last they have promised us a few dry days next weekend so that we can get stuck into those Christmas preparations with some real enthusiasm.
As I write this, we have had over 40 days of seemingly non stop rain so a bit of dry bright winter cold would do us all some good.
There will be lots of exciting entertainment in the town centre in the run up to Christmas so wrap up warm and come along to enjoy the street activities in the town centre on Saturday with Frosty the Stilted Snowman and the Christmas Elves, and the fabulous Narnia-themed Ice Fayre this coming Sunday and Monday in the Market Hall, with the finals of the Xmas Factor talent show on Sunday evening.
And don't forget to bring your Xmas Gift shopping list - our shop windows are looking fantastic and all the shops have something extra special in stock for the holidays. So don't drive off to the smoke - get your shopping done locally, support your local traders and save on fuel.
