Are you electrically safe at work?

Have you had all electrical appliances at your place of work PAT tested recently? There is a requirement to inspect and test all types of electrical equipment under The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 to make sure that it is safe and suitable for purpose.

Directors/owners of companies face penalties if inspectors find that equipment has not been tested, and especially if it is unsafe.  This includes all electrical equipment including computers, copyers, shredders, electric drills etc. - indeed anything that connects to the mains.

Aberdeen electricians Data-Spark are offering a special rate for PAT testing during December with a 20% discount on their normal hourly rate, making £24 per hour.  They will disconnect equipment, test and re-connect, so that there is minimum disruption with computer work-stations being tested one at a time, with a maximum 200 units.

So if you have a business within a 20 radius of Aberdeen and you want to keep legal and safe, give Ian Duncan of Data-Spark a call on 01224 724932.
