About Winnie’s World
Winnie’s World is based in the heart of Aberdeen, close to the business and commercial sectors. The well respected family run nursery has been converted from two Victorian houses, affording a large garden and parking area with safe access to the rear. Winnie’s World upholds the highest standards of care, safety and hygiene and offers competitive rates.
Our Aims and Objectives
Caring for every child’s well being is paramount. At Winnie’s World we want to encourage emotional, personal and social development for pre-school children. Each child is given individual and group care and stimulation. We create an environment in which the children feel secure and confident.
We encourage children to take part in a wide range of fun activities to encourage physical development and movement, communication and language, knowledge of their environment and communication skills.
Children are also encouraged to take part in daily nursery routines such as tidying up or setting the table to encourage care for others and respecting property.
Our nursery nurses endeavour to promote the individual strengths and talents of each child.
Age Groups
We have small units for different age groups:
Piglets Pen
For children from birth to 1–1 ½ years.
Staff spend time with parents, learning baby’s routines, likes and dislikes. Babies are fed on demand and a diary is kept. A key worker system is in place.
Pooh’s Pad
For toddlers from 1- 2½ years.
Encouraging natural physical and mental development. A key worker system continues
Tigger Town
For children aged 2–3 ½ years
Developing basic skills and social interaction. The key worker system continues.
Christopher Robin’s Room and Kanga’s Cubs
A stimulating and caring environment with more advanced activities for older children.
