ILA SCOTLAND
ILA Scotland is a simple way to get up to £200 a year towards learning something new. This opportunity is available to people aged 16 years upwards, earning £22,000 or under a year. As one of Aberdeen's largest training and development providers, Life Skills Centres can offer ILA funded courses in the following:

ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence
Introductory Sage Accounting - (E Learning)
Sage Accounting - (E Learning)
CSCS - (Construction Skills Certification Scheme Health & Safety)
Retail Works - Skill Smart
Scottish Certificate for the Responsible Service of Alcohol

SKILLSEEKERS SVQ/NVQ - work based courses
Health & Social Care - SVQ Level 2 + Level 3 MA
for those in the health & social care sector.
Business & Administration - SVQ Level 2 + Level 3 MA
for those employed in an administration role.
Retail - SVQ Level 2 + Level 3 MA
for those in the retail sector.
Customer Service - SVQ Level 2 + Level 3 MA
for those employed in a customer facing role.
Warehouse & Distribution - SVQ Level 2 + Level 3 MA
for those in a warehouse/stores environment.
SVQ's are funded for 16-18 year olds and must be completed by their 19th birthday. In addition, we offer SVQ's at excellent competitive rates for clients aged 19 and over. These can be partly funded by ILA Scotland.
Lifeskills Centres Aberdeen also run DWP (Department of Work & Pensions) and SDS (Skills Development Scotland) training programmes. If you are unemployed and claiming benefits, these courses can be accessed through Job Centre Plus. We are an Aberdeen based training and development provider for:

All these programmes are aimed to help clients back into the workplace through training. This includes soft skills: eg CV preparation and interview techniques. Work placements can also be arranged, for clients to gain vital hands-on experience in their chosen employment sector. These placements can range between 2-26 weeks.
