Chef Orry Shand of Eat on The Green wins at the Scottish Culinary Championships.

Orry dazzled the judges with his 'Gressingham Duck' and his seafood dishes, winning best in class in both and coming away with a gold and a silver medal. Orry was naturally delighted with his wins as a recognition of his hard work and passion for his cooking skills.

If you haven't tried his Tasting Menu at East on The Green, you have missed a treat.  You will need to book, but you are sure to really enjoy it.

Eat on the Green also came runners up in the Scottish Restaurants Awards in Glasgow in the 'Rural Restaurant of the Year Awards', coming a close second to The Three Chimneys restaurant in the Isle of Skye.

This guy is amazing, i had the privalege of having Orry Shand as my Commis at Langley's restaurant in Ellon, and I knew he was something special, the young lad has great potential to be one of the greats and the way he cooks is just a joy to watch everything is scrutinised and tasted, which alot of other chefs don't do alot of these days. Next Step in Orry's career a MIchelin Star One Day. report abuse...
