In Llandudno public library, there is an exhibition of paintings by renowned artist Sylvia Evans.
Sylvia believes that painting should be an adventure- a personal experience full of surprise, and her paintings reflect her many adventures.
Based in North Wales, but much travelled, Sylvia uses her experiences as stimuli for her pictures using ink, water colour, mixed media and acrylic.
Sylvia explains, "I love the scenes here in North Wales, the mountains, valleys and seascapes. The colours are ever changing and subtle. The last few years I have spent time in Africa, Malawi, and Zambia and very recently in Namibia. Some of these pictures are from my travels to these countries, the light is so different, it presents different challenges.
Hopefully, I have captured the moment and the serendipity I have had the greatest fun in producing these pictures."
