Our Garden Design Process
Garden & Landscape Design are with you every step of the way, we provide all our clients in the Lancaster area with the most comprehensive garden design service.
In simple terms our garden design process is as follows:
1. Meeting the client
We listen to your ideas and requirements and provide an initial evaluation of the scope of the garden design work.
First visit FREE of charge within a 50 mile radius of Lancaster.
2. Requirements & Budget
We produce a sketch scheme giving you a realistic outline budget based upon your requirements.
3. Site Survey & Evaluation
Investigating the site, taking measurements and levels to form the basis of any garden design work.
4. Sketch & Masterplan
Alternative schemes are discussed with client. A masterplan is created and translated into a final proposal drawing from which a site may be developed, showing different materials finishes and planting/seeding areas.
5. Planting Design Plans and Detail Layouts
Planting Design is Garden & Landscape Designs' speciality. Our garden planners prepare bespoke planting plans to suit your specification.
6. Management Plans.
Prepared for you to manage your garden when the garden design and landscaping is complete.
7. Getting Construction Works Done
At this stage we can hand over the garden design plans for the client to develope their site, although our preference is to carry out the planting work on the client behalf.
8. Supervision & Follow Up
Garden & Landscape Design can oversee the Landscape Contractors on the clients behalf and audit the work at each stage. We are perfectly happy to do this to observe how the site is progressing.
