Jersey Heritage offers visitors and islanders the opportunity to stay in a selection of unique buildings, including Napoleonic forts, German towers and Victorian follies.
Thanks to a government initiative, and with money from Jersey’s Tourism Development Fund, Jersey Heritage has turned a Napoleonic fort, a couple of towers, old barracks in an offshore castle and a 1930s beachside folly, into unusual self-catering accomodation in spectacular locations.
The standard of self-catering accommodation ranges from grand designs in a former German clifftop observation tower to basic stone tent facilities on a tiny islet off the east coast cut off by the tide twice a day. Each offers a unique opportunity for a Jersey self catering holiday with a difference in a little Island with a big reputation, rich history, an amazingly diverse natural environment packed into just 45 square miles, fantastic
beaches, plenty to do and a variety of places to visit.
