Healthcare charity Sue Ryder Care is calling all women to get glowing and join an illuminating fundraising event to raise vital funds at midnight.

Ready, Steady, Glow for Charity

On Saturday 13 September, Ipswich will host its first Glow in the Dark women-only sponsored Midnight Walk in aid of healthcare charity Sue Ryder Care which provides care and support for people living with serious illnesses and conditions across the UK. The event will also raise money for SGR Fm’s charity arm, Operation Santa Claus, which helps local causes.

Georgina Carr, Events Coordinator at Sue Ryder Care, said: “Get glowing and walk with friends, colleagues or your family and help us raise vital funds for Sue Ryder Care”. The glow in the dark theme will carry walkers through the night, with fire performers and stilt walkers to entertain participants on route.

The Midnight Walk is a wonderful opportunity for mothers and daughters, friends and colleagues to gather together and spend a fun evening by raising money to help the charity help more people living with conditions including Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Injury and Huntington’s Disease”.

Walkers, starting and finishing at Gala Bingo, will complete a 10K circuit predominantly based in Chantry Park, the home of Sue Ryder Care – The Chantry. Participants will enjoy a real party atmosphere with a big group warm up prior to the walk. Walkers will also receive T-shirt, a glow in the dark bracelet and a goodie bag on the finishing line. Hot drinks will be available before and after the walk, and glow in the dark items will be available to purchase on the night.

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
