The Bijou is a refreshing boutique bed and breakfast with a difference. Beautifully located in Harrogate's fashionable Duchy Estate, the B&B is just a three minute walk from the Harrogate International Centre or five minutes to the town centre.
The recently refurbished Victorian property is run by experienced hotelier Stephen Watson and his wife Gill. The B&B combines professionalism and luxury with a home from home personal touch.
The Bijou is uniquely positioned between traditional hotel and bed and breakfast. Visit Britain has awarded The Bijou five stars under the Guest Accommodation classification.
Rooms
This chic Harrogate B&B comprises 10 individually designed bedrooms, all with full en-suite facilities. The decor is modern with stylish furnishings in soft tones. All bedrooms have a flat-screen LCD television, hospitality tray with Fairtrade tea, coffee, biscuits and fudge, hairdryer, radio/alarm clock and bespoke toiletries.
The boutique bed and breakfast can accommodate up to six people in The Coach House just behind the main building. This is perfect for families, comprising a large twin room and a double.
The Bijou can provide extra beds for children and a cot is also available.
Breakfast
B&B guests can enjoy a full English breakfast, cooked to order using only the finest local ingredients. The breakfast menu also includes homemade muesli, fresh fruits, yoghurts and breads.
An afternoon tea menu is served in the comfort of The Bijou's lounge.
The boutique Harrogate bed and breakfast was 'Highly Commended' in Yorkshire Life Magazine's Food & Wine Awards in 2007.
