The return of the highly popular Friday nights at Castle Cornet.
The Castle gates will open for a free evening of live music and exploration of the Castle grounds from 6pm on Friday 18th July courtesy of sponsors HMV.
This year the musical programme has expanded to include new acts and welcome back favourites to cater for a wider range of musical tastes.
A variety of music over the four Friday evenings combines a mix of classical, choirs and contemporary music performed around the Castle including:
.Internationally acclaimed classical guitarist John Byrne returns as one of the most popular performers from the previous Castle Nights.
Talented young singers from The Guernsey Youth Theatre make a welcome return to the Castle.
The Dukes of Vazon - With the various members of The Dukes of Vazon about to go their separate ways, this is the last chance to see this entertaining covers band, who mix well known, but seldom listened to favourites with a few slightly more obscure folk songs.
DJ Oneofakind - Hip-Hop, Beats and Funk from a collective put together by DJ Oneofakind, AKA André De Carteret.
Look out for some ‘live’ painting running alongside this exclusive showcase of local DJ talent.
An ensemble from the Ladies College, directed by James Henderson.
Acoustic Pop and Rock with local duo Mick and Paul.
Bring picnics to enjoy a full evening at Castle Cornet. Castle gates open at 6pm and close at 9.30pm.
