CMA Event Management are based in the Channel Islands which means we're always in a sunny mood and fizzing with energy! We relish new challenges and are focused on delivering exceptional work for our clients and the best working environment for our creative teams.
Our Event Management division handles all things razzmatazz, organising events that hit the headlines and attract thousands of people.
In Guernsey, these include:
- The annual Liberation celebrations
- The Guernsey Awards for Achievement
- Floral Guernsey Weeks and Show
- The Guernsey Home & Lifestyle Shows
- The establishing of B & Q’s new Guernsey Superstore
- Summer Wave (Party in the Park)
CMA are also event planners for the Babbe Le Pelley Tostevin monthly lecture lunches in Guernsey which often featue household names, the London conference of the Guernsey Investment Fund Managers and the captive insurance industry's annual forum in London.
When was CMA established?
Campaign Management Associates, as it was known then, was first established in 1981 by Tony Carey. It was the first Guernsey company to specialise in what was, at that time, still a relatively unknown concept outside the big cities - Public Relations. Over the years we have established innovations and events which have become part of the fabric of island life - the annual Guernsey Ambassador of the Year Award and our monthly lecture lunches to name just two.
What are CMA's strengths?
Our team of 12 all really believe that no challenge is too big or too small. We share a range of skills that overlap so we can offer our clients a seamless Event Management service.
What has been CMA's biggest challenge?
Launching the Channel Islands' first Home & Lifestyle Show (our version of the Ideal Home Show) in both Guernsey and Jersey. Because this was a CMA-owned, funded and organised event with our own money and reputation at risk, it was a huge challenge to us all. But the first shows in both islands attracted 25,000 visitors and were hailed as a great success by exhibitors and visitors. The shows are now a regular biennial fixture in both islands.
