Opened by Howard and Margaret Holland in 2005 Le Petit Bistro French restaurant quickly established itself as a firm favourite in the Guernsey restaurant scene.
So French it makes the French themselves feel at home, Le Petit Bistro offers a mix of rustic and semi-gastro French cuisine served up in cosy and authentic surroundings.
The restaurant is managed by French couple Delphine Auder and head chef Mickael Pesrin who have always striven to make people feel welcome and at ease, ready to enjoy a taste of France.
The menu features the best of classic French cuisine, including such legendary starters as:
- French onion soup with brandy and melted gruyere cheese crouton
- Baked snails in garlic & herb butter
- Foie gras terrine with caramelised apples & grape chutney, with toasted brioche
- Fish soup with garlic rouille
- Pan-fried frogs legs with parsley & lemon butter
This wonderful French dining continues with main courses including more mouth-watering favourites, such as:
- (scallops served in their shell with cream, mushrooms & creamed potatoes)
- aked oysters on smoked bacon & spinach glazed Champagne sauce)
- (seafood stew)
- Coq au Vin with braised chicory & dauphinois potatoes
- Pan-fried garlic & thyme duck with confit leg & green pepper corn & Calvados sauce, sauté potatoes
There is also a specials board featuring the fresh seafood catch of the day, plus an array of delicious desserts guaranteed to make you forget your diet!
Le Petit Bistro offers a la carte French cuisine as well as a set lunch menu and early dinner menu, which is amazing value at just £9.50 for three courses.
