World-class event riders have arrived at Belton, near Grantham, to compete in the largest Belton Horse Trials ever.
More top event riders, including Jeannette Brakewell, William Fox-Pitt and Pippa Funnell are entered than ever before.
Riders will compete in three categories - showjumping, cross-country and dressage. In Sunday's finale, the winner will be decided in the showjumping arena.
The cup was the brainchild of organisers Stuart and Anna Buntine and designed to inject more excitement into the final day of the trials and attract top international eventers.
This year's course has 30 new fences and was designed by Stuart and 2012 Olympic course designer Sue Benson.
Entrance is via the Lion Gates only and costs £8 for adults, £4 for under-14s and under-3s get in free.
