Martin is not your ordinary accountant; he didn't take the easy option of training and then staying with an accountancy firm until a partnership came about. He did it the hard way; he moved two hundred miles then started his own accountancy practice, opening an office in Glasgow, when he had only one client. Martin has, as a result, got first hand experience of the difficulties of owning and running a business, cash flow, staffing and marketing etc.
