The Big Fun Run is 5 Kilometers in length and will be open to Men, Women and Children of all ages. You can enter as an individual or as part of a family or team from your office or sports club.
The main focus of The Big Fun Run is to have fun whilst running with friends, family or colleagues. The Big Fun Run takes place in 5 cities across the UK.
All Big Fun Runners will receive a 'Big Fun Run' Medal and a Goodie Bag.
The event starts at 11:00. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start for the mass warm up. There is no parking or vehicle access to Holyrood Park and you may have to walk 10-15 minutes to the starting area so plan your journey accordingly. Drop off points are Holyrood Park Road or Regent Road. Pedestrian access is available via all entrances, including Meadowbank.
The 5km course will take you round the Holyrood Park and the 350 million year old Arthur's Seat. The route gives fantastic views of Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
The route is suitable for wheelchair users. Some sections of the course will be on grass or have a steep elevation so the wheelchair may need to be pushed through these sections.
