Calexico — a collective of musicians from Tucson, Arizona — have forged an eclectic identity through their exploration of south-western culture. Their music is wilfully and gleefully coloured and stems from the inspiration of the Sonoran Desert. Their sound is that of the border town station, the last outpost between the southern states and the wilds of northern Mexico. Calexico's music offers far more than the mere novelty of mariachi musicians. Certainly, you enjoy their music for its recollection of a forgotten time, but what sets Calexico apart from others who have put the twang back into music is that they offer so much more for you to delight in, with a live show that's exceptional!
