Opened in 1996, the Ramside Golf Course on the outskirts of Durham City has quickly established a reputation as one of the North East’s finest layouts, and a great test to every level of golfer.
The course has now matured wonderfully well, and many of the trees we planted in 1994 are now well over 20 feet high, defining the fairways as they were planned to be. The 15 lakes round the course look as if they have always been there, and the USGA specification greens improve every year.
The Ramside consists of three loops of 9 holes, The Princes, Bishops and Cathedral courses and each poses a different challenge. Many of our visitors play all 3 – usually nine in the morning, eighteen in the afternoon.

The Ramside clubhouse opened in 1999, and quality was once again the aim and with its fantastic Changing Rooms, well stocked Shop, Driving Range and Academy, Billiards Room and Conservatory Bar overlooking the 27th Green, this is a truly great facility.
Visitors (pay and play), visiting parties and corporate golf days are all welcome and naturally we have all the extras: Club Hire, Buggies, Trolleys, Halfway House, Catering Buggies. Scoreboards, Event Management etc. – in fact as much or as little as you want us to provide.
