Golf Lessons with Russell Adams Golf Academy

I have lots of friends who have been playing golf for a few years now, I've always declined to play because it is something I have never done before and I thought I would just hold up their game.

I have recently joined a business networking group at Gaudet Luce Golf Club called BNI Saltway. One of the members of the Group is Russell Adams from Russell Adams Golf Academy. Russell is a PGA Golf Pro and he offered to take me to the driving range to hit a few balls. We were out there for about an hour and I really enjoyed myself, Russells coaching was very relaxed and I was really surprised that with Russells help I could actually hit the ball in a fairly straight line over about 30 yards. Not bad for my first lesson!!

Today was my fifth lesson with Russell and he took me out to play a few holes on the 9 hole course. I struggled a bit of the Tee at first but with a few tips from Russell I soon got back into the swing of things! Just by adjusting my grip slightly and widening my swing Russell soon had me back on track.

My short game seems to be pretty good, but without Russells help I wouldn't have known where to start.

I cann't believe that after just five lessons I am able to get round the 9 hole course without embarrasing myself too much.

Am really looking forward to my next lesson in a couple of weeks. I cann't wait to get out on the 18 hole course with my friends and hopefully surprise one or two people.

Cheers Russell, I really didn't think that I could improve so much in just a few short weeks.

Had another lesson with Russell today at Gaudet Luce. This lesson was all around using the Driver, again Russells teaching style was fantastic, his relaxed approach really does help. I actually managed to hit the ball 200 yards and straight down the middle!! Not bad considering I've never attemted to to use a driver before.

I'm getting a bit nervous now cus I have entered a Golf competition with my BNI networking group on the 8th July. It's an event where golfers and non golfers can play (non golfers do the putting) Russell has put me in as a golfer, so fingers crossed everythig goes well!
