Haskett's Tea and Coffee Shop

This is our first choice for light refreshment in Dorking. Margaret provides a fantastic range of leaf teas and freshly ground coffee in a cosy tea-room environment. Sandwiches and ʼthings on toastʼ are all excellent and there is a wide choice available. Everything is freshly prepared and nicely presented.

Iʼve had cold buffets from Top Banana for three years now. the standard of cuisine is always exceptional. Presentation is superb and there are always imaginative solutions for vegetarian options. Iʼve also tried hot suppers for 8-12 people and have had wonderful positive feedback. When youʼre busy running events, the Top Banana option frees you up to do your job - I know I could never cook food this good!

Top Banana

The Born Free Foundation have used Top Banana on several occasions over the last few years for dinners of 15 or more people and the food and service has always been excellent. They have always been really helpful and innovative with the vegetarian and vegan options that we require. Definitely the best option for a stress-free event.

Mattree PTC

Originally recommended to me by the garden designer, AllThingsGreen, I requested an estimate from Mattree to pollard a very large willow that had been seriously damaged during a recent storm. The estimate was competitive and, following formal approval of the proposals by the Tree Officer of R&BRDC, the work was duly completed just three weeks ago. The operation was carried out with great efficiency and all large pieces of timber lowered carefuly to the ground to prevent damage to plants and lawn. On completion, the debris was carefully cleared up to the satisfaction of myself and my neighbour, who was also most impressed. Altogether, a very successful operation and I and my neighbour are about to contact Mattree again re some stump-grinding work.

Dorking Lighthouse

I loved this shop - masses of different lights make it feel magical. I was surprised by the number of modern light fittings they stock. Childrenʼs lights fascinated my kids. Was given good advice on shades and bulbs and now know where to go for anything lighting!

I was first introduced to Becky whilst she was still training, and has always given an exdellent service. She has a wonderful rapport with her "customers" and is very patient. My westie returns home feeling a "new woman" when she returns from Beckyʼs.... a great find.

Haskett's Tea and Coffee Shop

Like tea shops should be. Old fashioned but in a good way -Haskettʼs coffee is probably the best in Dorking and I have a fondness for teacakes which Haskettʼs fulfils! Also had afternoon tea here (lovely cakes) and it is very comfortable and not noisy like Costa Coffee. A little oasis amongst the hustle and bustle!
