From: 22 August 2008
To: 24 August 2008
Bank Holiday Weekend

“France at Home”, the cooperative of  market stall holders based in and around Rouen in Normandy, will set up in South Street once again on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August Bank Holiday weekend (22nd, 23rd and 24th of August 2008).

As in 2007 some twenty stalls will offer a range of goods including freshly baked bread, cheeses, charcuterie, confectionery and other foodstuffs, leather goods, jewellery, jumpers, enamel ware, toys and more.

The stalls will be set up in South Street from Barclays bank down to the war memorial and will trade from 9am to 5pm on the Friday and Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on the Sunday.

“France at Home” is a good market with genuine French products for sale. This added attraction in the county town will be enhanced with live music in South Street on each of the days that the market operates.

This extra dynamic is being arranged by DMPG (Dorchester Music and Performance Group which is responsible for the Summer Saturday Live programme funded by the partnership of West Dorset District Council, the Chamber of Commerce and the Dorchester BID Company)

FREE Music at Maumbury Rings

On Bank Holiday Monday (25thAugust) the Roman amphitheatre at Maumbury Rings will resound to a whole afternoon and evening of FREE music courtesy of the Town Council featuring, in alphabetical order, Jigsaw, Joey the Lips, the Mill Street Jazz Band, Pond Life, the Red Neck Armadillos and the So Called Heroes.

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
