What is Chiropractic?

The purpose of chiropractic is to restore normal function to your joints and other supportive tissues. A joint in the neck and spine may only be fractionally out of place but this would put unwanted pressure on vital nerves. The result is pain and discomfort. By careful diagnosis, manipulation and adjustment of  bones and joints the chiropractor aims to relieve pressure and pain without the need for surgical intervention.

The core principle of chiropractic is to treat you as an individual. Whilst the Chiropractor will look at and treat the presenting complaint, the underlying diagnosis will often lie hidden  in your medical history and/or lifestyle. Thus by treating the individual as a whole many conditions often unrelated to the back or spine are greatly assisted with chiropractic care.
