I stopped using letting agents some years ago. This year I had to look everywhere and fast so as a last resort I signed up with several. From the start Martin & Co led the field both in terms of speed and efficiency. The most important thing was they were honest and gave me regular feedback without me having to chase them to see what was going on. This sort of response and sense of purpose is increasingly rare in a lot of service sector fields today. It might seem old fashioned but it works far better than being told they will get back to you. specially when they donʼt! It actually causes Martin& Co to stand out more as serious thoughful and understanding of their clients needs. Well done all of you and keep it up as a decent service is increasingly hard to find these days.

I have rented out houses for some years and resorted to managing everything myself for some years as I was so disapointed by the complacent attitudes of agents once they had signed you up. This year I needed to urgently find tenants for a property. I approached several agents that purported to be both fast and professional and was assured the property was great (which it was) and it would fly... I had one viewing and was horrified at the type of people being proposed. I then found by chance Martin and Co who not only talked like professionals but looked and most important acted it too. As someone has already said they were truly on the ball and kept me informed without me having to chase them. I also liked the fact they treated their would be tenants equally well and politely. They may be new on the block but they could certainly teach the others they compete with some very valuable simple lessons... wonderful and I wouldnʼt dream of going anywhere else now.

Martin&Co...........or in other words.............. "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory!" Now what would posses someone to refer to a letting agent like that? Well quite simply it is like being inside the candy store when dealing with Martin&Co, because as soon as you pop in and place your order [tenant profile/rent & dates etc] within a blink of an eye their calling you to say they have a viewing. Now I can assure you they are not just pulling in just anyone, to date Iʼve only seen A1 tenants! Iʼve personally experienced them rent out a property at the new Waterfront development in Bedworth [not mine] within two hours of the landlord signing up, and then again at the same development within a day of the second investor signing up with them. So you see - you order your sweets and Wham - they arrive in your hand. I also placed one of my properties [Tile Hill] with them on Monday morning. Monday afternoon I had a phone call from Sanjay where the conversation generally went along the lines of asking if he was winding me up, talking to the wrong landlord or just showing off. Iʼm pleased to say it was none of the above [well he was quite pleased with himself] and he had already delivered the tenant, at the rent I asked for as well as being signed, sealed and delivered. I feel their strongest point is that they focus purely on lettings and not both [sales/lets] as well as the clear, concise and positive approach towards landlords. Of course there are many good letting agents out there and sadly, some very bad ones, but if you want your candy bar in your pocket before youʼve had a chance to pay for it, then I suggest you give these guys ago! JUST be prepared to try and keep up with them and move - QUICKLY!!
