£6.8m office development for Derwentside

An Innovative, 3 storey business centre is to be built at Tanfield Lea Business Park near Stanley with funding secured by Derwentside District Council.

Work starts in January 2008 and is due to complete in March 2009.

Helping to create over 30 new businesses, it is anticipated that there will be over 200 new jobs born out of business start-ups and expanding companies.

An 'easy in' lettings approach will encourage young entrepreneurs to consider self-employment.
