ME North East
13th September 2007
When our two children contracted ME, possibly after a virus, we were put in touch with ME North East. They provide support to adults and children and their carers. MENE has a dedicated Young Peopleʼs Worker and whatever the problem: liaising with doctors, the Local Education Authority, home schooling, Benefits Agencies, Schools they were there. They put us in touch with other families with an ME affected child and they kept us up to date with new research. Often it was just a friendly voice at the end of a phone.
