Rathlin Country House is located in a beautiful conservation area just minutes from the town centre of Colwyn Bay. This imposing residence is set within its own grounds of almost an acre and offers 4 Star Wales Tourist Board Luxury Bed and Breakfast accommodation for the more discerning traveller.


All rooms at Rathlin Country House Hotel, Colwyn Bay are en-suite and the accommodation is appointed to a very high standard with many added comforts such as towelling bath robes, crisp cotton sheets and fluffy white towels.  One of the rooms has a whirlpool bath whilst another has a steam shower room.  All rooms have Freeview Colour TV and DVD players.

We have used this guest house twice now, my wife and I both feel it was like home from home,we were served a gorgeous breakfast with plenty of variety to suit any palate, would definitly stay again.

We have visited Raithlin twice now and the quality and service are superb!! A gem of a B&B and THE best breakfast in the world!!!! Its the little things that spoil you rotten like the beautifully appointed rooms with quality toileteries and fresh bathrobes and a choice of hot drinks in your room with fresh milk in the fridge. Cleanliness second to none. Lovely comfy beds too!! Itʼs the breakfast that is outstanding though and Marian and Anthony go the extra mile to tantalise and treat your taste buds, all cooked fresh to order and local produce of exceptional quality.Scrummy!!!! Fresh home made bread and ground coffee, fresh home made fruit salad and yogurts, cereals and porridge, all beautifully presented and plenty of it!!! The hosts are welcoming and offer great advice on local eateries. A quiet spot within easy reach of Snowdonia and surrounding areas, plenty to see and do. Wonderful, just wonderful.

My daughter stayed here some time ago and recommended it. My wife and I have stayed twice whilst visiting Colwyn Bay on business. We are very likely to return to Colwyn Bay and will certainly return to this very high standard guest house.

We stayed at Rathlin Country House for two nights and everything you can think of is catered for in the bedrooms, the bedroom was also extremly clean and comfortable, the breakfast was fantastic and the owners were great and made us feel very welcome. We will deffinetly stay here again

Have stayed at the Rathlin twice on business and will stay there a third and fourth time. After a 5 hour journey the guesthouse is a welcome comfort with well stocked bedrooms. Fabulouse jacuzzi bedroom and steam room bedroom. Lovely fresh linen and towelling robe supplied. Relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Lovely breakfast. An all round lovely stay.

Charming hosts and high quality accommodation. I was staying in the area on business, and the quiet friendly atmosphere helps you relax away from home. The free wifi access is an added bonus.

Having stayed at Rathlin House twice now, I am confident that I didnʼt just get lucky the first time. Much like other reviewers, I would agree this is an exceptional place to stay. Warm and friendly, very clean and comfortable, fabulous attention to detail, from the coffee, the bathroom accessories, to the freshly baked bread and other delicious goodies. Itʼs difficult the imagine what could have made the stay any better, apart from another few nights. It makes the long drive much easier to bear, and opens up possibilities for further visits to beautiful North Wales. Thankyou!!

I found this exceptional country house whilst searching the web for a place to stay in North Wales. I would recommend it to anyone looking for the qualities of a five star hotel. Liitle extras like fresh milk in the fridge and also fresh (ground)coffee, not to mention the fabulous steam shower with a choice of essential oils- just right after a long journey. Our breakfast was freshly cooked to order. My only regret was that we only stayed for one night! We will be sure to stay here again on our next visit to the family in Rhos-on-Sea.

Only stayed for one night but would have no hesitation in coming back again. I have to say that the Colwyn and Llandudno alleged four star accomodation do not hold a candle to this place. Almost a crime in describing it as a B&B, it is more like a four star hotel. Superb breakfast and excellent facilities.

Found this bed & breakfast on the internet, only needed to stay one evening but the room easily matched standards of other 4 star hotels if not exceeded. Short stroll into Rhos if youʼve time to stretch your legs. The breakfast was superb, would love to return in the summer to try the pool!

My partner and I were lucky enough to get a room for the night without having booked. This bed and breakfast was far superior to the 4* hotel we had stayed in the night before. The room was beautifully presented, the location was perfect and Anthony and Marian were very friendly and helpful. If I was visiting again I wouldnʼt leave it to chance and I would book in advance. I would recommend it to anyone.

A stunning period property exceptionally appointed and staffed by a friendly and professional family team. This is a little gem nestled at the foot of Snowdonia, accessible to the main road links and local shopping, yet just far enough out of town to be quiet and very exclusive. If you are fortunate enough to get a room, you will almost certainly want to re-visit.

Whenever Iʼm in Colwyn Bay on business I always stay at the Rathlin Country House. Itʼs in a lovely leafy location, the rooms are well appointed, the owners always welcoming and their recommendations about where to eat good. The breakfast is worth getting out of bed for too!.

I was booked into the Rathlin Country House on the recommendation of Rydal-Penrhos School. I only had one night but the hopitality and facilities were excellent. I look forward to my next stay in November.

We booked at the Rathlin Country House on recommendation of local people and we were so pleased we did. The welcome was warm and inviting the room exceptionally well appointed, and spotlessly clean with so many little extra touches that made it feel like home. The breakfast was extra special with hoime made bread their speciality. If you want the best place to stay in Colwyn Bay call Marian and Anthony they are a wonderful couple

Stayed for one night whilst visiting family in the area. Wondered why I have never discovered this place before. Lovely setting and such excellent facilities catering for all age groups. Breakfast superb and nothing was to much trouble for our hosts. Will certainly stay again and have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family.
