Merlot Brassiere opened in December 2004 and has provided Cheltenham with a chic and stylish eatery.
Merlot is a well-designed modern restaurant in the heart of the Cheltenham Town Centre, and certainly proves to be a hot spot for the modern cuisine perfectionists.
Once inside the restaurant it is even more impressive – rich brown leather seating, beautiful polished wooden floors, and soft atmospheric lighting. If you’re not that hungry when you arrive, you will be when the scent of Merlot’s modern cuisine drifts from the kitchens.
Currently on the Menu are:
- Seared Scallops with Grilled Black Pudding
- Saltimbocca Alla Romana
- Wild Mushroom Crespelle
- Roast Suckling Pig, etc

Restaurant service is traditional with French waiting staff and, listing over 40 labels, the wine list is extensive, with an excellent choice of reasonably priced champagnes.
Definitely the place in Cheltenham to dine, Merlot Brassiere serves the most delicious range of fresh salads, vegetables, and mouth watering melt in the mouth meats, and if that isn't enough then try one of their incredibly "bad for you" morning pastries over coffee.
