CLIMATE CHANGE IN CUMBRIA with Martin Varley
Illustrated Talks & Readings
Thursday 18 September 7.30pm
Everybody is talking about Climate Change at the moment, but what impact will it have on Cumbria?
As a part of the Flora of the Fells Festival, Friends of the Lake District’s Martin Varley gives an illustrated talk exploring the current and future effects of climate change on the Cumbrian landscape, looking especially at how wildlife is already changing. A variety of representatives from Cumbrian organisations and community groups will form a panel of experts with Stephen Hewitt, Keeper of Natural Sciences at Tullie House.
They will try and answer your questions on what the county is doing about this critical issue.
Martin Varley’s recent publication, Mission Impossible - Can we save Cumbria from Climate Change? will be on sale. Tea and coffee will be available.
Tickets: £2.00. To book, please call 01539 733187 or online at www.floraofthefells.com
