Major Cancer fund -raising event at The Millennium Stadium

The Relay for Life event in Cardiff takes place at the Millennium Stadium.

Organised by Cancer Research UK this unique event gives local people the chance to celebrate the lives of those touched by cancer and to raise money to bring hope for the future.

The event is a family, fun and community led event which includes on the day:

Survivors lap of honour - The opening lap of the event honours the courage of those who have fought cancer or continiue to fight it plus is a tribute to those who sadly lost their fight.

Candle of Hope - During the later stages of the day as the evening draws in - people gather to light candles of hope.  When candles are lit messages of remembrance and celebration illuminate the track.

Entertainment and activities - This is a Celebration event and there is entertainment throughout with special guests, bands, live performance and opportunities for fun.
