Pontcanna Fields
The National Eisteddfod of Wales returns to Cardiff after a thirty year gap.
This massive Welsh cultural event takes place in Marqees in Pontcanna Fields and the Eisteddfod fields will also be filled with crafts, music, food and books.
Many thousands will visit the event and its competitions throughout the week.
Cardiff will have a busy week as visitors flock to the capital city with the perfect excuse to come from all over Wales.
When the Eisteddfod was last here in 1978 local writer Sion Eirian was crowned the youngest ever crown winner at the age of 24. Others will hope to emulate his success as the 'Corn Gwlad'
Cardiff welcomes back this Welsh language feast with more Welsh speakers now living in Cardiff than ever before.
Time: 2-9 August
Venue: Pontcanna Fields Cardiff
