Beltane Bar in Buxton welcomes you to a world of musical, culinary and social  joy as we present an experience far and away better than a pub or

regular drinking house.

Our French chef, Florence, provides freshly made authentic French food at realistic prices, including fresh crepes, home made cakes and daily

specials.

Our wonderful range of coffees, with beans from the Nairobi Coffee Company, are made by the best fully trained baristas in Buxton, plus, at the bar,  we have a range of real ales and rarer beers, including Leffe, Staropramen and Bitburger.

Every Thursday night, come to the Beltane Bar in Buxton for live music with a range of styles from live jazz and soul to new bands from the Buxton area.

(who is also a dandy).

What more can you say that Julie hasnʼt said already. Brilliant place and ideal after visiting the Opera House. excellent selection of beers, lagers and wines and the food is also very good. I love the sofas for a place to slob out after a hard week!

I LOVE this bar. Its got a great, friendly, relaxing atmosphere and is comfortable and airy. I also admire the fact that it took the brave and responsible step to be a non-smoking establishment long before the law made it mandatory. The beers and wines are marvellous. A great choice of real quality beverages. And the coffees are to die for. The food is absolutely gorgeous and really well priced, if even rather underpriced considering the quality. The bar staff and Manager are always really friendly and relaxed. Thereʼs a wonderful sunny conservatory area as well as lovely comfy sofas to lounge around on. And the even the loos are luxury! What I particularly like about this bar is how child/family friendly it is. Thereʼs high chairs, baby changing facilities, its breast feeding friendly (and a comfortable place to do so - I breastfeed my baby currently and feel totally at ease doing so in this bar - an unusual experience even these days) and theyʼll do anything on their menu to suit kids. Thereʼs also plenty of room to wheel your pram in and its a safe environment for your toddler (I have one of those too) to run around in. Couldnʼt recommend this place more. It has to be the best venue in the Peak District.
Truly Exceptional
