The Coach House in Buxton has been serving quality fish and chips for over 30 years.  Just about everyone agrees that there is something particularly satisfying about traditional fish and chips from a family-run chip shop.

A traditional chip shop The Coach House may be, but owners Sue and Wes and family are up with the times when it comes to good business practice.  This Buxton fish and chip shop sources its fish from sustainable stock.  Wes estimates that they have served 1.5 million portions of fish over the last 30 years, so Buxton folk can now enjoy nipping to the chippy with a clear conscience.  The Coach House strives to use local suppliers and traders wherever possible.  Local artist Neil Bennett’s scenes of Buxton grace the walls of the restaurant area. 

In addition to traditional fish and chips served in various portion sizes to meet the appetites of Buxton, the Coach House is well known for its delicious pies, home-made by Sue and her daughter Danielle.

The 44 seater restaurant was recently completely refurbished and now has waitress service to bring you your delicious, fresh fish and chips.  This makes The Coach House an ideal place to go for a cosy meal out or to book as a venue for small parties.  It has become a popular venue in Buxton for children’s birthday parties.
