Jenny Philips - The Comtepary Female At the Ripley Arts Centre

Open evening 1st July 2008 7-9pm

This is the second solo exhibition for Jenny Phillips, who will be graduating with a B.A. in Fine Art in June.

Her preferred styles are Realistic and Impressionistic, whilst she also wanders to Abstraction. Some of Jenny’s paintings are photo based appropriated images taken from newspapers during the month leading up to Christmas, depicting headline news.

Her aim is not to shock or astonish the viewer. Jenny Phillips considers that the surface of a painting is the cover of the feeling underneath the paint.
