Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity which improves the lives of the millions of people affected by cancer. It is a nationwide charitable organisation with a local branch covering Bradford, Huddersfield and Calderdale.
More and more people are living with cancer which means that, as well as medical help, practical, emotional and financial support are also vital. Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity which provides all of these.

Macmillan – a source of support
At the Macmillan Cancer Support charity, we are a source of support. We care - not just for the patients who struggle with the affects of cancer, but also their carers, families and communities too.
Through donations and fundraising, the Macmillan Cancer Support charity is able to fund nurses and other specialist healthcare professionals and build cancer care centres.
We also give practical support and care at home – anything from precious time off for a carer to a lift to hospital.
We listen, advise and share information through our CancerLine (T: 0808 808 2020), our website, local Bradford support groups and trained professionals.
We can help with the financial burden of living with cancer, which brings many extra costs.

Together, we listen, we learn, we act to help people living with cancer. We are a force for change – listening to those affected by cancer and working together to improve cancer care.

And it’s not just money that we can donate….
We can donate time – at cancer care centres, events and fundraising groups. All of these are in the Bradford area and we’re always delighted to see new faces.
We can share experiences too – online, with the media and with each other.
