The largest collection of working mill steam engines in the country
The Museum is operated by the Northern Mill Engine Society. 25 stationary steam engines have been rescued from the cotton mills of Lancashire and Yorkshire, and restored to full working order. These can be seen static on volunteer working days (Wednesdays and Sundays) or running in steam on the 24th and 25th of August 2008.
