No Name
Traditional Village Public House in Bolton
The No Name Public House in Harwood, Bolton was built sometime between 1810 and 1830 by the Bromiley family and developed within a terrace of cottages. Abraham Bromiley was the licensed beer seller from as early as 1828 when licenses were obtained from a Justice of the Peace. It is thought at around this time that the magistrate asking for the name and address of Bromiley’s application that House Without a Name was recorded after receiving no response from the applicant.
