From: 09 May 2008
To: 09 May 2008
The band appear at the Empress Ballroom, Winter Gardens as part of their UK tour.

The Wombats at the Empress Ballroom

The Wombats began the year by releasing the single 'Moving To New York' on 14th January and playing on a car park roof to 60,000 people at the opening event of Liverpool’s Capital of Culture celebrations.

Before beginning their British tour, they will play a number of dates in Australia, Japan, the US and a headline tour of Europe.

The release of their debut album 'The Wombats Proudly present...A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation' last November led The Fly to describe the band as "one of the most intelligent bands around at the moment".

The Times called the album "a smart collection of danceable indie pop packed with hummable melodies, harmonies and lyrical wit".

Tickets: £13.00    Doors: 7.00pm    BOOK ONLINE

What are RSS Feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines and stories in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a feed reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. IE 7.0 has a good feed reader built in, otherwise try Feedreader.
