Heritage Open Days - Red House
A great day out for everyone - explore William Morris’ home, his ‘beautifullest place on earth’, which changed the course of architecture forever. More a poem than a house, Red House is surrounded by an enchanting garden which paved the way for the movement called Arts & Crafts. Our tearoom and shop will be open all day, drinks and cakes, gifts, books and craft materials all available, with trails and activities ready for our younger visitors. Come and enjoy a really warm welcome at a specially beloved place.

Our garden trail is a really good way for kids to find out about the beautiful garden at Red House. Trails are £1 and include a National Trust Raffle ticket. The garden trail is suitable for 7’s to 12’s and should take half an hour to finish.
