The garden centre nursery is situated on the B5023 between Duffield and Cowers Lane, Shottle and is well displayed on the approach. It is just a short, worthwhile drive from Belper.
A family-run garden centre and nursery
Early in 2007 Valley Nurseries of Duffield was taken over by Wendy and Darren Stevens. For many years previously the couple had worked alongside Wendy’s father, who had built and run Valley Nurseries as a garden centre for more than 16 years.
Wendy and Darren are now carrying on the traditions of the family business, using their years of horticultural experience at the nursery to provide quality garden products to their customers. They have many customers from the Duffield and Belper areas and welcome new customers from the area or visitors to the Belper area to call in.
They have the added value of regular staff who have excellent knowledge and are passionate about their work at the garden centre. The whole team is dedicated to helping and advising customers.
An inspirational nursery and garden
On visiting the nursery for the first time you will be astounded by the vast size of Valley Nurseries of Duffield. As you approach along the drive you could be forgiven for under-estimating its enormity, but when you actually arrive at your destination you'll be amazed.
Your first sight will be an excellent range of large topiary bushes in a variety of shapes. These bird and animal designs guide your path towards Valley Nurseries entrance.
Once inside the garden centre there are rows and rows of plants, shrubs and trees awaiting your browsing. Further into the nursery grounds you will also discover large greenhouses overflowing with beautiful, colourful indoor plants and outdoor plants.
